About the ♀ and ♂ energies of nations

I believe not just humans but people or nation as a whole has a blend of feminine ♀ and masculine ♂ energy, so does its government. The latter not necessarily reflects its people’s feminine/masculine energy. And not always the nation or the government is filled with either feminine or masculine energy only. It is a mix with masculine energy however dominating in many parts of the world for the past several millenia. With the masculine hyper-dominance there has been a lot of disbalance, with patriarchy bringing disharmony almost in all spheres of life.

In our times, however, we might be witnessing the shift towards the feminine energy. Feminine energy presupposes more care towards life in all forms, peace, cooperation. There might be a long way ahead, though.

Now here are a few examples of societies and governments with masculine/feminine energies from a region I come from. Let’s take Turkey.

Today’s Turkey is located on lands where once lived people with dominating feminine energy. There were the great goddesses Ma, Kybele, Arinna, and many more in and also around this region (especially in Fertile Crescent). Despite centuries and demographic shifts dividing now and then, even today’s people whose ancestors come from this region, do carry that feminine energy, even though clearly there has been a lot of invasions, bloodshed, aggression with the subsequent masculine energy prevailing there for too long.

I have a theory that one such people originating from this region -Armenians, even though dispersed throughout the world as a result of being forced out of their homeland, continue carrying that feminine energy, with a portion of them also living within the Republic of Armenia itself. Here, however, they have come to share the land with other type of Armenians with dominating masculine energy. I believe the latter type of Armenians originate from areas further up north (today’s south Russia) and/or south (today’s nothern Iran).

Back to Turkey. Today’s government there mostly demonstrates masculine energy and it is reflected in almost all spheres of life including its policies towards its neighbors and its treatment of Mother Nature. Take for example its continuous construction of dams on the transboundary rivers. This aggressive attitude towards Nature also aggravated its relations with downstream countries such as Iraq and Syria. Or take the drilling of the Mediterranean seabed in search for gas. This has caused new conflicts with Greece and Cyprus. The patriarchal leadership does not even attempt to hide its aggressiveness announcing that they need no one’s permission to drill the seabed. Similar patriarchal leadership in Israel and Lebanon are following these destructive patterns.

February’s earthquakes in 2023 in the region, however, might be a sign of Nature’s disagreement with these patriarchal governments and who knows, maybe direct result of it.

Now a few words about its neighbors reaction to the post-earthquake situation. Despite the decades of hostility Armenia sends humanitarian aid to Turkey (also Syria), expression of the feminine energy - compassion. This step didn’t sit well with the Armenian government’s opposers, who probably favor the previous leaderships, which, as you could guess by now, was an oppressive dictatorship with excess masculine energy.

But of course even the current government of Armenia contains less feminine energy than would be necessary for a balance. For example it clearly fails to protect the environment and the wellbeing of its people. Even though dragging its foot over permitting gold mining in Amulsar mountain, it hasn’t yet been able to clearly confront the pressing masculine energies within and without that push for another environmental crisis, similar to other environmental disaster areas in Armenia. But Mother Nature’s cup of patience has its own limits.

And what about Russia? With its warmongering, Russia’s government demonstrates total absence of feminine energy in its realms, but what about its people? Do they have the prevailing feminine energy which has been oppressed by the patriarchal aggression or do they have dominating masculine energy which is in ‘harmony’ with its government’s vibes? A hard question I haven’t found an answer to, yet (though my intuition hints me its’ the 1st option).

Israel and Iran

My subjective opinion/feeling is that these are both countries with dominating masculine energies, and while my personal visit to Iran confirmed to me that not just the government, but the society as well is predominantly masculine-energized, I can claim the same for only Israel’s government. I haven’t figured out the situation with the society there considering its contradicting positions regarding its government policies.

Israel government is ultimately masculine energy dominated considering how warmongering it is towards its neighbors. The latter, unlike their patriarchal governments are particularly feminine energy dominated considering their roots in ancient Goddess traditions. But Israel’s government is not only hostile to its neighbors, but also for example sells weapons to Azerbaijan- another autocratic country with masculine energy dominance that continuously threatens its neighbor Armenia with war. In fact Azerbaijan is also a tool in the hands of Israeli politicians against Iran.

One might thought: why in that case two masculine energy dominated countries like Iran and Israel don’t get along well. It could be driven by the competition towards domination in the region. It could also have its roots in some historical event which led to revenge-type of attitude. It needs a study. In any case this competition and hostiliy is clearly destructive for the region.

What can be done?

A lot can be done, but that’s most probably not in the nature of the feminine energy. The feminine energy is about slow changes and transformations within. There is a story in the Armenian literature by Sero Khanzadyan — The Queen of Armenia [Taguhin hayots]. The Queen believes only in balance of feminine and masculine energies, i.e. only one god and one goddess. She tries to eliminate all other deities from the people’s belief system. She does it with violence by eliminating anyone daring to worship others. And yet eventually she sees that there is growing discontent among people and after her disappointment leads her to commiting suicide, people go back to their previous belief. This is a clear indicator that the awakening leading to balance cannot come from without, only within each.

Therefore the road towards the ♀♂ balance is a long one, possibly first passing through the realms of the feminine energy domination. We are already on this path.
