From the day I started acquainting myself with Goddess traditions from various parts of the world, I realized that sex has always been the natural part of daily and spiritual life, and that was mostly reversed under later patriarchal religions that came with the virginity obsession mostly to control women. Look at what they did with Mary Magdalene, who is believed to be a priestess of an ancient goddess tradition (goddess Isis), and who is believed to “bless” Jesus with his mission (with her anointment). And yet patriarchy’s jealously turned her into “prostitute not worthy of giving blessings”. I think it is long due to rid ourselves from all the patriarchal religious institutions and go back to the natural. It might as well help protect the environment.
