Interesting read, especially since it presents a perspective from Indonesia. I am writing about how usurping of spiritual domain (especially the ancient goddess centered ones) by patriarchal Abrahamic religions has actually led to the disbalance that we have today around the world. By the way that usurping also happened most of the time through marrying gods to goddesses, rapes, or making them relatives in some way.
But I always keep in my mind that the East (Buddhism, Hinduism, etc) was not influenced by Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam, Christianity), and yet they too today have a similar situation in terms of violence, exploitation, etc, as the western world. And I assume in one hand it is due to colonial policies in the past, and capitalism in present. In either case it seems to me that healing of the west, especially since it is continuing its colonial policies today although in a different manner, is what could maybe help remove the exploitative and hierarchic relations all around, but for that spiritual renaissance is what is necessary, preferably with women taking the realms.
